About
My research interests are focused on application of modern computing tools to water resources analysis and hydrologic modelling using conceptual, distributed and data driven algorithm. Soft computing has to date been the main topic of investigation, in particular exploring the potential benefits and pitfalls that are associated with the use of fuzzy computing technique and artificial neural networks, either alone, or in combination with each other by developing hybrid intelligent systems. These emergent soft computing technologies have been used to perform different types of hydrological modelling and water resources management and to develop alternative solutions. My specific research interest includes:
Theory and Methods: Neural Networks, Fuzzy logic, Hybrid Intelligent Systems, Computational Hydraulic, Stochastic Hydrology.
Applications: Watershed Management, Hydrologic modeling, Climate Change on Water Resources, drought analysis, Flow Computation, Rainfall-runoff modeling, Flood Forecasting, Time series modeling.
