About

I obtained my M.Sc. in Applied Geology from Allahabad University and Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad. My primary research expertise is in isotope hydrology, focusing on the application of stable (d¹8O, d²H, d¹³C) and radioactive (³H, ¹4C) isotopes to investigate hydrological and hydrogeological processes. My research interests include surface water-groundwater interaction, aquifer recharge mechanisms and inter-aquifer connectivity in varied hydrogeological settings. I integrate isotopic, hydrochemical, and geospatial data to improve understanding of water cycle processes and groundwater sustainability in major Indian river basins, including the Indo-Gangetic and Narmada basins. At present, I am working as a Scientist-B at the National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee, where I also co-guide postgraduate students and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects in isotope-based hydrological research.
