About
Dr. Sunil Gurrapu is a Scientist in the Climate Hydrology Division at National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee. He obtained his bachelor’s degree (B.E.) in Civil Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal and Master’s degree (M.Tech) in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. He obtained his PhD from University of Regina, Canada. His research interests include hydroclimatology, climate change impact assessment, impact of teleconnections on regional hydrology and hydrological extremes, etc. He has published his research work in these areas in reputed international journals and presented his work on various platforms including national and international conferences. He has experience in teaching several engineering subjects including Engineering Hydrology, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machinery, etc. He has organised several training courses and workshops including Climate Change and Hydrological Impact Assessment, Climate Impact Indicators for Water Security, etc.
