About

Shubham Shaurabh is serving as Scientist-C at the Centre for Flood Management Studies, Patna a regional centre of the National Institute of Hydrology under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. He specializes in surface water modelling, flood risk assessment and dam break analysis with strong expertise in hydrodynamic and hydraulic modelling of rivers, reservoirs and urban drainage systems. His work focuses on flood inundation mapping, drainage adequacy assessment and climate resilient water infrastructure planning to support disaster risk reduction and evidence based decision making. Shubham has hands-on experience in advanced hydrometeorological data analysis, GIS & remote sensing applications and 1D/2D flood modelling tools. He actively contributes to national & international projects, technical consultancy and capacity building programmes related to integrated flood management and resilient water resources systems.
