About

Dr. Singh joined the National Institute of Hydrology in March 2019 and is presently working as Scientist 'C'. His main areas of interest are springshed management, climate change impact assessments, and hydrological and hydrodynamic modeling in mountainous watersheds, notably GLOF simulation. Under the supervision of Professors A. Bandyopadhyay and A. Bhadra, Dr. Singh earned his Ph.D. at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Itanagar, after earning an M.Tech. in Hydrology with a focus on Watershed Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. His Ph. D. thesis examined how climate change affected a mountainous watershed in stream discharge and soil moisture content.
